Women’s health remains critically underprioritized within data science and AI research. Despite the rapid advances in computational methods, few efforts have been directed at addressing conditions that disproportionately or exclusively affect women. From reproductive and pregnancy-related conditions to sex-specific manifestations of chronic diseases. Tackling this gap in knowledge has only become more pressing with research resources being allocated to AI.
This workshop is for all early-career researchers who want to advance women’s health through computational approaches. Our keynote speakers will bring their perspectives on the breakthroughs made by AI-based research and outline the specific challenges that face women’s health research in the age of AI. Early-career researchers working with women’s health from a data science perspective will present their work in flash-talks.
The session is hosted by the Clinical-Academic Group for Women’s Health in a Life Course Perspective (CAG-WHIP).
