Artificial Intelligence is rapidly transforming domains ranging from text and video applications to scientific discovery. One area where its impact is becoming both urgent and consequential is the operation and stability of critical energy infrastructure — most notably, the electrical power grid but also space applications (satellite network)
Modern power grids are undergoing a profound transformation. The large-scale integration of renewables such as wind and solar is replacing conventional generation that traditionally provided the physical inertia essential for grid stability. At the same time, the massive deployment of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure introduces highly variable and hard-to-predict demand patterns. Together, these trends are pushing power systems closer to their operational limits and demanding new tools for monitoring, prediction at scale, and control.
