The Danish Center for AI Innovation (DCAI) will host one of the world’s most powerful AI supercomputers.

The aim is to accelerate research and innovation in fields such as health, life sciences, and the green transition, thereby contributing to the development of innovative solutions for some of the world’s most pressing challenges.

The AI supercomputer, named Gefion, is a product of a collaboration between the Novo Nordisk Foundation, the Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO) and the technology giant NVIDIA.

Nadia Carlsten is CEO of the Danish Center for AI Innovation A/S (DCAI). She has great expertise in AI, quantum technologies and machine learning and over 20 years of experience in management and technology development.

She has led the development and launch of Amazon’s first quantum computing services and spent more than two years developing new products and strategies at SandboxAQ, a Google spinout that uses AI and quantum technology to solve global challenges.

She graduated from the University of Virginia and has a Ph.D. in engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, where she also studied at the Haas School of Business.
